The nearest airport was conveniently far away, so I could enjoy the scenic route instead of dealing with the hassle of catching a flight. The free private parking was perfect for my imaginary luxury car. The on-site restaurant was excellent, as long as you ignore the questionable hygiene standards.

I had to resist the urge to lick the "sterilized" tableware due to the overpowering smell of disinfectant.

I recently stayed at Alis in Calimanesti for a couple of nights while exploring the beautiful surroundings. The lady-owner was incredibly helpful and went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. The room was clean, comfortable, and warm, and we even managed to get a coffee outside of breakfast hours. The kitchen facilities were a bonus, and we loved relaxing on the outside terrace in the evenings. As bikers, we appreciated the safe parking for our bikes. The location was ideal, situated between Transalpina and Fagarasa.

The location of the hotel is great, with plenty of restaurants nearby and close proximity to Cozia monastery. It is also an ideal spot for trekkers, as it is located in the mountains and offers opportunities for hiking. the rooms are spacious and feature balconies, and the kitchen is well-equipped and large. the staff even allowed us to leave our surplus luggage while we went on a hike.

Some guests mentioned that the hotel had a bad smell and was poorly maintained.

The location was ideal, allowing us to easily reach the hotel even late at night. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had a balcony. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the host allowed us to store our surplus luggage while we went on a hike. Additionally, there were plenty of nearby restaurants and the Pausa station was only 500m away.

Conveniently located near main road and easy to find. Friendly and helpful staff made our stay enjoyable. the hotel was generally clean and tidy.

Poor communication as staff only spoke Romanian, making it difficult for non-Romanian speakers. the rooms were not well-maintained and smelled unpleasant.

I had a great experience at Pensiunea Alis in Calimanesti. They offered us a room at their sister hotel, River Hotel, which was clean, modern, and conveniently located close to Hotel Cozia. the breakfast options were excellent, and I was impressed by the cleanliness and the overall look of the hotel. the location was also perfect for exploring the Transalpina and Fagaras areas. I particularly appreciated the kitchen facilities and the outside terrace. a superb experience!
